Swimming Pool Chemicals Linked With Asthma by Francesca Bailey
Those who donīt like indoor swimming pools because the chlorine burns their eyes now have a new reason to stay out of the pool: chlorine has now been linked to asthma. This link was first explored after it was discovered that more than a quarter of the American Olympic swimming pool team suffered from asthma. Further research has confirmed that even light use of an indoor swimming pool, such as two hours per week, leads to lung damage that is equivalent to smoking heavily.
