Samsung Mysto
The Samsung Mysto is a relatively new slider style candy bar phone designed specifically for the Helio wireless carrier. While designed with the average user in mind, it comes with a lot of nifty features all packed into a case that is certainly more than what you would expect from an average phone. Unfortunately, this well designed device has a few flaws that keep it from being truly perfect.
Samsung SCH-R300
The Samsung SCH-R300 is a bottom of the line phone designed for the low end market segment. Basically, this is the phone you buy if you have no desire to ever do anything but use it to talk to people with. Alternatively, a cheap phone such as this is perfect for use as a backup device should you find yourself in an emergency or without your primary cell phone. As long as you do not expect a whole lot out of the Samsung SCH-R300, you will not be disappointed.
Samsung MyShot R430
One of the best things to say about the Samsung MyShot R430 is that the phone is budget priced. Having said that, it should also be noted that while the phone is great for basic functions, there are not a lot of extras to be found here. People who have grown used to a lot of extras on their handheld devices will not be particularly impressed with the R430, but it may be a good option as a starter phone.
Nokia 5310-XpressMusic
The Nokia 5310-XpressMusic is a mid-high end phone designed specifically for people who like to listen to music on the go – without having to carry around a phone and a portable music player (like an iPod). The newer Nokia 5320-XpressMusic will soon replace its aging design, though this is still an excellent device for those interested in this particular market segment.
Sony Ericsson W760
The Sony Ericsson W760 is a fully loaded candy bar style slider phone designed with the average user and the tech fanatic in mind. This is one of the highest caliber phones on the market without a touch screen interface. What it lacks in touch screen goodness, however, it more than makes up for in amazing features.
Samsung SCH-U740
If you like cutting edge technology, then you will like the Samsung SCH-U740 Alias. This phone was designed for Verizon and its CDMA network. While the Alias looks like a clamshell flip phone, it is actually designed in a more sophisticated manner. It is unique as far as cell phones go due to its dual hinge display (or dual-flip) you can open it either standard flip for normal use or sideways for texting.
Motorola W270
For those wanting a great device to talk on that also provides a fantastic music experience, the Motorola W270 is the answer! Encased in a clamshell handset that is both stylish and functional, the Motorola W270 provides all the basics that one has come to expect from a Motorola phone while also delivering that little bit of extra panache. It features a long-lasting battery life, with up to 540 minutes of talk time and 19 days of standby time with its 940mAh BQ50 battery. It also sports a great music player as well as Motorola’s proprietary CrystalTalk audio enhancing technology.
Motorola RAZR-V3xx Lavender
If you want a basic, pretty, flip top phone then a good choice is the Motorola RAZR-V3xx Lavender. This cell phone is an excellent choice for those who are not so cell phone savvy or for those who are just entering the exciting market for cell phones. Young people will appreciate the sleekness of this ultra modern phone and all of the fun it yields.
Motorola ic602-Buzz
The Motorola ic602-Buzz is a simple clamshell style phone designed with the average consumer in mind. It is not an attractive device. It offers virtually no high end or high tech features. It is not for corporate business men or women. This phone is perfect for the person who just wants a device to talk on – and nothing else. Don’t expect much from the Motorola ic602-Buzz and you won’t be disappointed.
LG Rumor
The LG Rumor is a phone designed primarily for the text-messaging crowd. Aside from a full QWERTY keyboard, the LG Rumor lacks many of the other features common to mid range phones of today. With a design that looks as though it is meant to take on the highly successful Sidekick, the LG Rumor is a text messager’s dream device. While most people should probably avoid the LG Rumor, if you are the type of person who likes to send text after text, the LG Rumor is the device for you.
Kyocera Tempo-E2000
The Kyocera Tempo-E2000 is a bizarre looking clamshell phone with a design that just screams “cheap.” It is not particularly attractive, doesn’t have a particularly large amount of features, and considering all of the other clamshell phones on the market, it isn’t a particularly impressive device.
BlackBerry RIM 8820
The BlackBerry RIM 8820 is the first of all BlackBerry devices to offer integrated Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is 802.11 a/b/g. This is exciting for customers that have been waiting for this technology to become available. The Wi-Fi runs in concert with GSM allowing connection for data applications and voice support via UMA (unlicensed mobile access). Also, calls can crossover between the provider's network and Wi-Fi networks. It allows for GPS while traveling. The memory of the device is excellent, supporting as high as 32 GB of storage with a microSD memory card. There is 64 MB of memory built into the BlackBerry Rim 8820 itself.
BlackBerry RIM 8800
The BlackBerry RIM 8800 is one of the thinnest and sleekest designs to come out for a BlackBerry. It offers a full-functioning QWERTY keyboard that has a backlight for better visibility while typing. The casing is in an attractive, dark navy blue hue and is palm-sized for ease of use.
BlackBerry RIM 8700g
The BlackBerry RIM 8700g is a very attractive, sleek looking BlackBerry that provides vibrant sharp colors and images as well as text.
BlackBerry RIM 7250
The BlackBerry RIM 7250 is an older BlackBerry model from Research In Motion. Released in 2005, this phone is something of a dinosaur, but still has enough good features to make it useful even today. While it is nothing compared to the various high-end smartphones on the market today, it is certainly a lot cheaper and the perfect backup BlackBerry for the businessman on the go.
BlackBerry RIM Pearl-8120
The RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is technically the same as the other variants of the BlackBerry Pearl, except that it contains a few feature additions that make it stand out from the pack. It’s based on the same design as the other Pearl phones, so the untrained eye can never tell it apart. However, the added features make it completely different from any other BlackBerry Pearl to date.
BlackBerry RIM 7105t
The RIM BlackBerry 7105t was originally released for T-Mobile in 2005. The small and convenient handheld is packed with functions including enhanced Yahoo! Mail access that allows users to efficiently manage all of their e-mail on the move, whether for business or pleasure. Using the BlackBerry Internet browser, users are able to not only browse the web but also send real-time, push-based e-mail to T-Mobile customers as Yahoo! is the first e-mail provider to take advantage of full BlackBerry Internet Service integration. With all the wonderful messaging options, the 7105t is perfect for those who need to stay in touch while roaming the globe.
HTC Touch Cruise
The original HTC Touch was dubbed the Windows version of the Apple iPhone. However, it never really lived up to the hype, as iPhone sales surpassed the Touch by huge margins. Recently, though, HTC is back with a brand new Touch phone, the HTC Touch-Cruise. It looks much better than the original, performs much better, has more features than its Apple competitor – but does it have what it takes to be successful?
Nokia N82
The Nokia N82, released in November of 2007, is a part of Nokia’s Nseries line of smart phones. The Nseries line of smart phones features the N-Gage gaming platform as well as the Nokia Music store.
Pantech Duo-C810
The Pantech Duo-C810 is a unique (and somewhat attractive) slider phone that has a few different modes of operation. The device’s front plate can be slid upwards into portrait mode for making phone calls or sideways into landscape mode for sending text messages with its full QWERTY keypad. These multiple uses make the Pantech Duo-C810 appeal to a wide variety of people, including the texter, the tech fan, and the average user.
BlackBerry RIM 7130e
Released in 2005, the RIM BlackBerry 7130e is the first BlackBerry handset that takes advantage of Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess service on the Evolution-Data Optimized (EVDO) network. The sleek and attractive handheld is capable of delivering all the expected e-mail and data capabilities available with the BlackBerry wireless platform. Using this function can also enable the 7130e to serve as a modem for customers who want to use the device to connect to their laptop or home PC.
BlackBerry RIM 7520
Released for Nextel, the RIM BlackBerry 7520 is designed to provide service and web connection in all regions of the world. The handheld delivers access to email, corporate data and voice services while roaming in many countries and destinations. It is also designed to offer convenient navigation with its comprehensible keypad and scrollwheel.
An Overview of Different Cheap Cell Phones
The use of cheap cell phones is popular today because most of the features of these gadgets are similar with branded mobile phones. However, for consumers who still like to purchase and use branded mobile phones, they can always visit telecommunication service providers in their areas to know some of the special offers that they provide that usually include discounted or free branded cell phones.
BlackBerry RIM 8100-Pearl
One of the first things that consumers notice about the BlackBerry RIM 8100-Pearl is that the device comes with a complete set of multimedia features. Such desirable extras are rapidly becoming necessities for business and personal use. These include the music player, voice dialing and commands, and a memory card slot, which are all part of the charm of the Pearl. The best part is that it does not take an engineering degree to figure out how to use the features. So even people who are upgrading to a feature rich device for the first time can do so without a great deal of anxiety.
Motorola RAZR-V3a
The Motorola RAZR-V3a is the newest and cheapest cell phone in the RAZR line of Motorola cell phones. The RAZR-V3a is available only on the CDMA network and therefore cannot be used outside of the United States and it also doesn't support the 3G network so web browsing and downloading will be painstakingly slow.
Motorola Sidekick-Slide Scarlet
The Motorola Sidekick-Slide Scarlet is a fancy looking cell phone that resembles a miniature laptop. For those who like an extra helping of color with their conversation, this phone delivers. Together, the black and scarlet give this phone top marks for attractiveness and style. This is the kind of phone anyone would be proud to display no matter where they are – be it school, work, out with friends or on vacation.
BlackBerry RIM Curve-8320
With a shimmering visage of either silver or metallic, the BlackBerry RIM Curve-8320 is more than eye candy. It offers integrated Wi-Fi for talking convenience and a full-functioning QWERTY keyboard with trackball to move the user through applications fast and efficiently. BlackBerry has taken into account the complaints users had about the too close and slick keys of prior QWERTY keyboards. There is a decent amount of space between the keys allowing users to efficiently type. The screen resolution is excellent, as one would expect in a BlackBerry device with resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The screen measures 2.5" and bursts with over 65,000 colors.
