One of the toughest things any dieter faces is keeping themselves motivated whilst they are trying to lose weight. It will be very troublesome to stay targeted on your healthy eating program due to the sheer quantity of temptations and distractions you'll face.

In order for you to successfully lose weight, you need to have a compelling reason why to do it. Successful dieters always have compelling reasons to lose their excess weight. The people without the compelling reasons are people who constantly struggle with their weight.

So how do you get this level of motivation in order for you to not only lose the weight but to keep it off as well?

The answer is to search out reasons for you to lose weight. Not simply any reasons, like "because I wish to fit in a dress" or "because I am overweight" or "as I ought to".

You want to seek out reasons that are so motivating you will get up at 4am because of them!

You would like to get reasons that actually encourage you such as "If I do not lose weight then I will die of a heart attack like my father which means I won't be able to see my baby boy grow up, get married and have children". Does that sound like a motivating reason to you?

What is motivating for you could be totally unique compared to what's motivating for the next person. You must think up your own motivating reasons for the reason that motivating could be a terribly individual thing.

Any reason that you are feeling encompasses a should or ought around it is not going to be motivating enough for you. Both Shoulds and Oughts are not real reasons, they're get out clauses! Once you have written all of them down then discard any that are shoulds or oughts and keep the motivating ones. Then rewrite them in the most positive and motivating manner possible.

When you have finished this, pick the top three to 5 reasons and write them out on a piece of card or paper in your neatest handwriting. You will then put it on the fridge or toilet mirror so you'll see it every day or even carry it around with you. If there are more individuals in your house than you'll not wish to stick your weight loss reasons up anywhere.

You must read these every day, each in the morning and at night. Ideally do it just before bed and just after you get up. This ensures you usually keep in mind your powerful reasons which gives you motivation every day to stick to your diet.

When you are doing this each day you may realize your motivation increasing, dieting becoming easier and your weight literally dropping off you.
