I found one of the best places to buy laptops - get a mac ibook for only $268. I've had a 12" iBook G4 since 2005 and it's still my favorite notebook for skimming the Net, writing letters, and even reading pdf's.

It's strikingly light-weight and I consider the screen the ideal size. In reality, I am using it at this time to write this review. Given a choice between a new Asus or Dell netbook or a second user iBook G4 for a similar price, I'd take the G4 without brooding about it for a second.

It has all you need, in a bit compact machine.

This iBook G4 works just too and if you are attempting to get a good, tiny PC, this is the one for you. The only complaint I do have is that the CD-drive does not work ( but it's likely an argument on just my machine ). It has an airfield amazing card, which authorizes access to any 802.11g / b compatible wireless network ( which most wireless networks are ). The drive is sixty gigs and the optical drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi capability is truly useful and the small form factor is terribly pleasing to take around traveling. The battery seems to hold a charge for 2+ hours. It works beautifully for basic use ( faculty, work, reading the internet, for instance. ). I have had completely no difficulty with mine, and would highly advocate this product to everyday users. I've seen 2 bad reviews just because users purchased this PC with the objective to make it their "gaming" computer, and then were disappointed with the result. If you actually want to have a gaming computer, you possibly should not be taking a look at Portables in the initial place.

It's a great PC at a fair cost. If you just need something for work, faculty, and browsing the web, it's perfect. I got this thing utilized a few years back ; now, I'm a sixteen year old, and my first use for computers is writing, storing my footage, and gaming. This portable is pretty good ( especially for the price ) for the 1st two of my purposes, but for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to purchase countless upgrades for it to even run Warcraft on top of my footage ( they take up lots of memory ). It works fantastically for basic use ( faculty, work, browsing the web, for example. ). I've had no difficulty with mine, and would highly commend this product to everyday users.

If you actually wish to have a gaming PC, you most probably shouldn't be having a look at PCs in the initial place. It's a great computer at a fair cost. If you simply need something for work, college, and browsing the internet, it's perfect. Places to buy laptops...hurry supplies are limited.
