The dinner is settled with the pre-chosen menus. The guests would arrive at the scheduled time. Then at the last moment someone gives the idea of the baked steaks with sticky gravy drizzled all over.

You use to eat the baked steaks at the popular restaurants. Somebody gives the idea of bringing that from the restaurant, while some other advises why not prepare at home?

Well, that's a brilliant suggestion so long as the time required is concerned. But your menu list is already full of so many delicious items; adding another one would simply take time. It does not take much time either to prepare baked steaks.

Let's see.

Here is a superb recipe of baked steaks for 10 persons at your party.

Ingredients Needed:

1. 10 cube steaks
2. 2 cups of flour
3. 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
4. 1 cup of vegetable oil
5. 6 tablespoons of flour for the gravy
6. 8 cups of water
7. 1 can of mushrooms
8. 2 green peppers
9. Salt and pepper as per the taste

Preparation

Mix 2 cups of flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup of water to make sure the mixture is easily glued to the steaks when they would be delved in. Dip each steak into the mixture properly so that each steak is coated completely.

On the other hand heat oven to 350 degrees and heat a small amount of oil in the oven and fry the mixture-coated steaks therein until the oil is fully hot. Just ensure that the steaks are browned properly from both the sides in the hot oil.

After that the steaks are to be kept in a shallow baking dish preferably with a lid on the top; if it has no lid, you can also use aluminum foils. Bake the steaks for one hour at least.

Now, please pay attention to prepare the gravy. Just do check you have enough grease in the pan after the fried steaks are taken there from. If there is not an adequate amount of grease left, again add some garlic powder, salt and pepper with 6 tablespoons of flour. Add 4 cups of water and stir constantly until the gravy becomes thick. Add more water if needed.

It is time to pour 1 can of mushrooms and 2 green peppers into the gravy and stir again to make the substance fully thick and flavorsome.

Once the gravy is prepared, pour it over the baked steaks.

So, the extra item has been cooked without any hassle for your dinner party.
