The reason these two eating routines work well for helping to burn belly fat is because they do a good job of avoiding sugar, bad fats, and empty calories. They also keep food fun to eat. You are eating real food that still tastes delicious. There are groups of people devoted to both types of eating so if you need a support system, you can find groups online. People share their experiences as well as recipes that keep your meals interesting.
