Always try to make your business card distinguished from the rest; you can accomplish this by even just underlining a section. Photographs do not have to be limited to the card-issuer; products, storefronts, and even real estate can make for good elements. For instance, if you have a business that works on a schedule like a radio station, you can set the the business card design apart by adding additional information on the back of the card. I don't have to worry about paper.

Fact

Paper company brand names, fragile paper and perforated edges cheapens your buyers' opinion of your business card. Fiction

There is no need for professional printing, they just want my money.

Inkjet, DeskJet, copiers: It doesn't matter; none of them can come close to matching the quality of professional printing ink. Just like paper, the quality of your business card ink denotes the quality of your service, and the two work hand-in-hand to make your prospects take you seriously and boost your return on investment. The pros use professional ink and you should too; professional ink is bright, full and fade-resistant, contrary to regular ink.
