Which will you be in Multi Level Marketing?
Chances are you'll be a statistic because the odds are against you.Most likely that supper star guru did not tell you this, right?
Here is a statistic that will alarm you:
Everyday 70,000 people sign up into a Network Marketing Company and 95% of them quit within the first year.
Why?
Well there are a lot or reasons, poor support, poor company, poor product, poor compensation plan, but to me one of the biggest reasons is people have been lied to.
You might find that a little shocking but it is true "Internet Gurus" are grooming people with the lie that they will make big money overnight, if they will only join their opportunity. You can't really blame some of these people because they are just doing what they've been taught by the person who signed them up. I believe the blame rests on the shoulders of those who teach the lie and should know better.
There is no need for you to become a statistic. You just need to be taught the correct way of building your business, but first you need to know some of the lies you'll probably be told or already have been told.
Here are some common lies:
1) Recruiting family and friends.
This is the worst strategy around because family and friends usually don't want to be recruited by family and friends. Not only that, but they will ridicule you and tell you that you can't do it. You will also alienate yourself from them because they know you're just coming over to recruit them. It's simply best not to go there. By all means share your product or service with your family and friends but not the your biz opp.
Some of them will come to you once they see your success. Here's a tip. This is your business and you DON'T want everyone in it and that includes your family and friends. Share you business opportunity only with those who have come to you asking for more information.
2) Recruit, Recruit, Recruit. Call at least 100 people per day no matter how many no's you get because your next call could a yes, hogwash!!.
People just don't like to receive sales calls and having to listen to you vomit your biz opp all over them. If you want to hear the word NO over and over again then please go ahead and use this method. Hearing the word "no" has taken many good people out of this business, and you don't want to be one of them. Did you realize that 90% of the worlds population is sales resistant? Any wonder we hear No so often.
3) You must buy leads if you have no family and friends left to recruit.
Wrong! Understand this, if you're buying leads you're wasting your money. If you are buying leads you will spend yourself out of business very quickly. Stop this now!!
Bought leads are usually dead leads. What I mean is most of these people don't remember filling out the online form, so when you get to call them you are going to hear that wonderful little word again, No. Or worse you will get abused because that person has been called 50 times already by people spewing their business opportunity all over them.
Network marketing is a Relationship Business NOT a Sales Business. As soon as you understand this, you'll have people saying to you "PLEASE sponsor me into your business" Until then you're DEAD in the water.
Trust me on this, I've bought leads only to find them a waste of time and money. For those of you buying leads stop wasting your money, prospects are everywhere. Wouldn't you like to have leads calling you instead of you calling them? It is truly wonderful for this to happen; no more rejection no more calling 100 leads per day and annoying people during their dinner.
Finding free leads is not as hard as you might think, here is one strategy I'm using to find them:
Article marketing.
Please don't make the mistake of thinking this is impossible for you, because anyone can do this. you're not looking for perfection here, you just need to get your point across to the reader to help them in some way. A person will be warmer toward you if you've helped them in some way, and may join you in business later on.
It would take a whole article in itself to explain article marketing properly. Now, it's not my purpose to do that here, but the general idea is to write an article on something you know about and submit it to various article directories. Include a link, back to your site/blog, in the bio resource box and wait for things to happen. People will click through if they liked your article, plus Google will index your article which will give your site higher rankings in their search engine. You will need lead capture pages or a good sales page linked to your site to bring the whole sales process to its conclusion, a sale or sign up.
Personally, I like to use my companies lead capture pages, ad tracking, and hosting, it's a convenience thing. Actually I create my own pages too, all from my back office, nice.
Implement the strategy of article marketing and avoiding the lies will help you to avoid becoming another statistic.
