Why Is There So Much Male Enhancement SPAM?

If you've had your email address for any significant amount of time the title of this editorial rings true in your heart. You may not realize it but it costs spammers a considerable amount of money to send out millions and tens of millions of emails every day. It costs them money to buy those leads (email addresses); it costs them money to use the email services that send out that many emails. On average it costs a spammer about ten thousand dollars to send out ten million emails. Yeap, you read that right. Ten g's for one day worth of emails. Once the leads are purchased it does cost a bit less to send those emails to those same people. It is not uncommon for a spammer to spend about a quarter of a million US dollars in just one month… so how can they keep spending that much and still keep doing it? Are they really selling that much in product to actually make it worthwhile for them? You may say, "Obviously," but think about it; when was the last time you read one of those email? Do you know of anyone ever reading those? I am heavily involved in the male enhancement industry and have been for over ten years and I have yet to meet someone who actually bought a product through male enhancement spam.

There are really two options that I can think of that would allow these people to keep the spamming the whole world: either men are really that gullible, perhaps that desperate, or these male enhancement products actually work. We will explore these options and even briefly cover how you can make sure that you get less of that stuff in your mailbox.

We would be ignorant not to mention that there are really men desperate enough to try something that an unknown person recommended to them knowing that they are very likely throwing their money away; that they are probably being scammed; possibly even risking their own health. What would drive a man to go to such extreme measures? One thing that immediately comes to mind is the almost unfair pressure for a man to perform in the bedroom. The mass media floods our minds that a man needs to be able to please his wife sexually; if he can't do that then his wife should look for someone that can. That's not really the way I remember giving my vows to my wife, as I remember it, I vowed to be there for better or for worse. However a newlywed couple doesn't realize the challenges of marriage. We are much too selfish and unfortunately we have had little practice being selfless. So, the men realize that after a stressful day at a job that barely pays the bills, the stresses of all of the problems at home, the unfulfilled lives that we live, our performance in the bedroom is the last straw! How do we cope? Well, we have the whiskey (or weed, or video games) to help deal with the job and the family stresses, but that doesn't help us in the bedroom. So maybe, just maybe, male enhancement pills can be our "whiskey" for the bedroom. Of course, as with any "drug", this causes problems. Male enhancement, if not researched and used in the proper way, can either not work at all and just end up being a waste of money or even worse can cause some serious health side effects.

This is really the case for many men and these spammers use this to their own advantage. Men's lack of confidence and ability to perform in the bedroom is definitely a catalyst for many men to dive head first into the male enhancement waters without taking the time to see if there are jagged rocks at the bottom. Sure spammers prey on men's false perceptions and false expectations, think about how many women have to fake orgasms so that men's egos don't falter. The fact of the matter is that men usually have their egos established on the wrong foundations. The right foundation is based on things that never change. Your faith, honesty, integrity, confidence, or perhaps talents and skills are the things that foundations should be built on. The problem is many times men build their foundation on their career or their looks or the stuff they own. The problem is you will get older and uglier; you can get fired or your career field can become obsolete especially with the rapid technological advancements; and you can certainly lose your stuff: it can get stolen, get caught in a fire, or an accident… or the bank can take it (which just means it wasn't even your stuff to begin with, the bank just let you use it.)

There is another side to this coin. Perhaps male enhancement actually works? If that is true then at least the spammers aren't taking total advantage of the sexual problems men have. However if male enhancement actually works, then why have we not heard anything about it from the main stream media? We decided to do some research and found some interesting things. First, the main stream media seems to shy away from recommending anything that has not been FDA approved. However we found that at least one male enhancement company has gone through an independent double blind placebo human clinical trial. The study found that the male enhancement product actually worked! Why isn't this all over the news? Perhaps the FDA approval deal still applies here… regardless perhaps the male enhancement spam isn't going anywhere especially now that the clinical trials are starting to come in. More and more men will likely be buying these male enhancement products which just means these spammers will be making more money, in other words they will likely send even more emails now.

How can you avoid it? If you are using Outlook than you have some options, otherwise you probably have to rely on the spam filters from your email provider. For Outlook users just go to Tools, then Rules and Alerts. Now click on New Rule and on this screen choose "Move messages with specific words in the subject to a folder." At the bottom you should have Step 2, with 2 links, "specific words" and "specified." In "specific words" add the words you see in your most common spam emails then choose "Ok." Be careful of the words you use there as any email that has those words in the subject line will be moved to the "specified" folder. The "specified" folder should be chosen as "Deleted Items." That's it. Now any email that has the "specific words" in its title will be automatically deleted.

So male enhancement spam is not likely to go anywhere as men are not likely to have less stress in their lives as our technology continues to push our stresses to our limits and as spammers are making more and more money off of their campaigns they are likely to only send out even more of those emails. Well at least for us Outlook users, this is something that we can block.
