Any online business will consist of at least these core components: product creation, website design, payment processor, a sales letter, an affiliate program, customer support, and so on. If you combine those with sales conversion, product testing, tracking software, product promotion, and countless other task, you see how your time can become a precious commodity.

When people first make the decision to become Internet marketers and start their home based businesses, they have no idea that this simple small business will become so complex and complicated. Some of the tasks that you should outsource to workers are repetitive tasks such as answering emails, managing sales figures, bookkeeping, etc.

When placing these tasks into the hands of other people, you need to make sure that the tasks are easy, simple, and straightforward so that they are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner. Even though you are outsourcing parts of your business, you must never make the mistake of letting other people make decisions that will affect your business. It is your business and as the business owner you make the decisions in that way that tasks are handled and completed or what steps will be taken next to help in the growth of it and not one of your outsource workers.

While the jobs mentioned above may require that you employ and pay workers based on an hourly wage, many outsourcing tasks can be completed by freelancers. Examples task that freelancers can do are writing content for your site, article writing, product creation, social bookmarking, backlink building, video marketing, issuing press releases, and numerous other tasks. These types of workers should not be hired and paid at a regular hourly wage. They should be paid one set price for the project since once the tasks are completed; they do not have much follow up work to do for your business.

Some good places to look for freelance workers are elance, guru, scriptlance, or rentacoder, where project managers and freelancers are given workrooms to interact and the workers are paid on a per job basis.

When should you begin to outsource you business? When your business grows to a certain size and/or when you begin to mentally grasp and formulate your business plan, you will know when to outsource and what tasks to outsource. Think of outsourcing as a trade-off. You trade money (pay for workers) to complete tasks that will benefit your business. Make no mistake about it. The outsourcing of these tasks helps improve the productivity and efficiency of your business which in turn will lead to growth and an increase in income.
