The parvovirus disease is quite disturbing for the ones that have been through it. It is the dogs that are most affected by this sickness though even human can get it. The affliction of the parvovirus in dogs show up in the form of either diarrhea dehydration or even vomiting for some. The older dogs are not as much affected by the parvovirus disease as the younger dogs are.

The reason it takes so long, is to ensure that his body is used to the dead virus cells in his system which would help his body to not get infected with the disease. For the following three weeks after the first injection, you will need to try to keep your dog away from any other dog that might be stray or abandoned so that your dog doesn't catch any diseases that they might have. Though you might be trying your best to keep your dog from getting this infection, there is still a chance the dog might get the disease; just be sure to look out for the symptoms of diarrhea, dehydration, and vomiting.

Just like dogs can get it, so can people. A person might be immune to the original form of parvovirus, but then there is also an infection called parvovirus B19. There is similar affliction of this in both children and adults. Some people might not have any symptoms at all, and others may experience a rash or swelling around their joints. You will see that the parvovirus B19 will fade away in just a week or two of catching it. The person may feel depressed when affected with it as it means a lot on the suffering as well as absence from the work or school.
To help the adults with joint swelling in a parvovirus B19 they have to be administered the ibuprofen or Aspirin. One need to be on complete rest and not undertake any strain on the muscle joints.
In order to bring down the swelling children can be given Tylenol or Motrin as per their age. It is better to take the advise of the doctors for medicating the kids and those of the toddler age.
