I have been. In fact, I as so disgusted with the rising cost of monthly utility bills that I looked into ways to make my own electricity at home. Next I looked into making my own wind turbine system at home. What a great idea, use natural wind to make electricity. I found out that my area, and most areas in the United States do not have sustained wind currents that are reliable enough to turn the blades on a day in and day out basis. In addition, I read about horror stories of these things breaking during high wind condition and so called throwing a blade. These blades are lethal and can kill someone or cause significant property damage if they break off. That idea scared the living snot out of me so I chucked the idea of a home made wind turbine as well.

Lastly, I didn't know much about magnetic power generation. Seems like this is a form of clean energy generation that the big utility companies don't want anyone to find out about. The idea is pretty simple, use a do it yourself guide to make magnets turn the shaft of a simple electrical generator. The guides are easy to follow and the device can be made in an afternoon. Best of all this device is safe, requires little space to operate, and it can save me significant amounts of money.
