A blog has much more potential than expressing yourself artistically. Blogging is not considered as an effective way to market products by many marketers because usually when you think of a blog you think of an web-based diary or a site that is dedicated to someone trying to get exposure in one form or another.

There are plenty of advantages for internet marketers in having a blog. Blogging can allow you to take advantage of more benefits than regular marketing tactics can’t. You’ve probably heard of blogging by now—it started to explode in popularity in 2004. After six years of continuous growth, blogging isn’t going anywhere in a hurry. More blogs are launched to the internet each and every day. Don’t you think you should cash in on that popularity too? After all there is more to internet marketing than setting up a static sales page and hoping that people find it on their own. As an internet marketer you should be looking for every opportunity to make a sale.

Blogging is dynamic and never static! Blogging is the best way to share information or news with your readers; you set the mood and the relationship to fit your own personality. Blogging is the most powerful platform available for customizing your site and giving your readers a better experience. Prefer to write long? – winded posts or reviews, then be my guess.

Blogs can help you multiply your web-based income. As your blog becomes more recognized, you could find you’re being contacted for sponsorship offers. It’s your decision to make how much you want to charge each sponsor for putting an ad on your blog posts. You might even use these spaces to advertise your own products. Imagine if you could add a small sponsor ad onto two blog posts each week at $30 per ad. This could mean an extra $240 a month for you. Now think about selling the same ad space within each blog post over five days a week. That will net you $150 a week (or $600 or so a month). The advantages you could reap from sponsorship are just the beginning.

Blogging is a powerful method considering how simple it is. You don’t have to be even close to being a good writer to add posts to your site. More importantly, as your blog starts to grow in popularity, you can farm out the writing responsibilities to others in exchange for a link to their site or a few dollars. Paying other people to do the time consuming task is another method to get your writing done, and probably with a better result; you pay the writer once but you make money from it far into the future. Getting content for your blog is the least of your worries, plus allowing others to do the work for you will make your life a whole lot easier.

You can sell a paid newsletter and make people want to subscribe to it from the good content that they read on your blog. This newsletter can be inexpensive. Even at $1 -2 per sale you can bring in a substantial income. Okay, for example, you have decided to charge $1 per copy and mail out two issues a month. In the end, 150 people sign up to receive issues. You will now be rewarded with an extra $300 per month for the small amount of work it took to set this up and maintain it. As an internet marketer you should always be looking for ways to make money — this is a great one!

Blogging can provide an excellent source of different income streams. If your blog becomes popular, you may be able to sell advertising space within your sidebars. You’ve probably heard of Google Adsense. That’s one of the many advertising services available to bloggers. There are many others that would love to display their ads to your blog’s audience. Text Link Ads is one. AdBrite is another option. You can opt to sell space to private advertisers too. If you sold six ad spaces along your sidebar at $50 a month, that’s an extra $300 each month in extra blogging income.

As your popularity increases, you may receive offers to blog about specific products in your posts. This is different to a sponsored post, where you’re only selling two lines of ad space at the top or bottom of a blog post. The advertiser usually requests a specific post to be written on a particular topic, and then include a link to a product they want to promote. You can charge good money for posts such as these. It’s common for some bloggers to command prices of more than $100 per post. Be careful about these kinds of posts, as you’ll need to state on there clearly that it was a paid post, or you could land in some trouble with the legal authorities. Still though, it’s a great way to earn extra money.

Blogging can raise you to expert status within your niche. Because you are regularly publishing content on your chosen topic, you are showing your audience that not only do you know a lot about your niche but that you care about it enough to teach your readers about that niche as well.

As your credibility increases with your visitors, so too will your sales conversions. Think about the type of people you buy products from. A site with just a sales page or a blog with pages of helpful information that shows visitors you know plenty about the topic? The decision is quite clear.

It is well documented, blogging has led to a lot of new business partnerships. Your blog can be spread across the web by submitting it to blog directories so people can discover it when searching for a blog on your topic.

Blogging can allow you to converse with your visitors. A static sales page doesn’t offer any way for visitors to leave feedback. People can leave comments on your blog posts, or you can install a contact form for visitors to get in touch with you about your products. You’re then able to use the comments you receive to help you develop new products based on their opinions. Once readers notice that you actively participate in your comments section, they’ll understand you care about their opinions and not just their wallets.

This doesn’t even come close to all of the reasons to start blogging. Blogging makes more sales. You meet people that can have a very positive impact on your business. Also, blogging is barely work with all of the fun you will be having.

With blogging you can be as outrageous as you want to be without worrying about the uptight types trying to pull you back to their world. The fact is that there are more reasons to add a blog to your internet marketing business than there are to not add a blog to your business. Never before have there been something so useful for your internet business and its all there for the taking.

There are so many benefits to blogging that it can be difficult to decide which of them is the best. It’s obvious that there are more reasons to build a blog than to avoid it. What are you waiting for? Get your blog started right now and you could see new sales as soon as tonight.
