In India, there are many institutes that are recognised by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, who conducts training in the field, and one of them is at Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, namely Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Academy. There are many other institutes in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and many other cities of India. In these institutes, technical and flying training is provided and then license is given to these pilot candidates for flying. Those candidates can apply for international as well as for domestic flights, which can allow them to go across the globe.
In India, for a commercial pilot the eligibility is 10 + 2, with science and the age should be minimum 16 years. He should get registered to a flying club, which is recognized by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The candidate pilot should first possess a student pilot license (SPL).
