It is truly amazing, the number of people who are trying to build a business in network marketing who have never bothered to evaluate the company that they are working with, or who have also not really learned what things they should be looking at even if they did decide to do an evaluation of their company.

I guess the very nature and common practice in network marketing revolves around the warm market and the great percentage of folks involved in MLM are with the company that they are because their brother, or cousin, or friend, etc., was with that company and that just happened to be the one that they were presented with -an “if it’s good enough for Joe, it’s good enough for me” mentality.

Back in the days before the internet was really being used too much -not really that long ago for all you young folks out there - someone would present you with a money-making opportunity and a lot of the time, that was the only one you even knew existed. That was the case at least until some other fellow came by to entice you with the latest and greatest new one.

Nowadays we all just hop on Google and start researching. Whether you think this is good or bad, it definitely throws some changes into the operation. It is now way more easy, assuming you know what you are looking for, to adequately do your research about a particular company. However it is harder to keep your downline in place if your company and products, etc. are not quite as competitive as they should be.

A small percentage of people will join and stick with a company simply due to their pride in the product.

You know, they guy had arthritis so bad that he couldn’t even walk and then he started drinking “Super-Berry Juice” and his arthritis cleared up totally within 6 months and now he can play tennis again.

I love stories like that. I certainly would not expect such a person to venture elsewhere in such a situation because that person is not really in it for the money. They are on a mission of healing, really.

It might even be one of the worst comp plans in existence. It wouldn’t matter because the intention there is to serve the greater good. I commend such people for being so dedicated to a cause, and for having something that they can get so passionate about, and that they can make a business of. Yes, it isn't going to be as easy to make money like that but that is fine.

That isn't the situation that the majority is in however. Nearly all of us ARE in it for the money. If I already had 40 billion dollars I'd just sit by the lake and play my guitar all day. There are those who will rationalize otherwise but the fact remains that nearly all of us would be doing something else, something other than marketing, if we already had an unexhaustable source of funds behind us.

This is just fine too.

Many network marketers, once they understand some things to look for when evaluating an MLM opportunity, find that they are no as satisfied with their opportunity as they once thought.

There is a video that I provide to my teams, which covers these points. I'm not going to go over all that in this article but there is one point that I will.

This point is related to doubling your income and your signup for your MLM business, without doubling the amount of work that you are doing. I'm talking specifically about the percentage of revenue that your company pays out in commissions.

There are companies that only pay out, say, 25% of their total revenue in commissions to the distributors. Lower percentages than that can be found. Just overall.

Commonly, an overall 50% of revenue payout would be thought of as quite competitive. And realistically, if a company has to create, manufacture and store their product and handle all the related cost, how could they pay out more than about 50%, without overcharging?.

It would be easier to pay higher commissions for those companies which have information products which do not require any phyiscal manufacturing and storage.

iLearning Globe was paying out around 75%, that is until they shut down the network marketing side of their business. Pyxism also give commissions of around 75% These are not companies that I market. I'm just pointing out some examples for you.

The concept of doubling your income with no extra work is related to this percentage.

Realistically, it takes about the same amount of work to recruit someone, regardless of which company you are a part of.

In many companies you can recruit a whole lot of people and never make much of anything because many of your downline do not hit their sales volume or they drop off.

We're not going to cover Retention here but it is massively important.

All other things staying constant, if you were to simply switch from an opportunity which pays out 45% to one which pays out 90%. So pick a Sales Volume and then factor in a 2X commission for that sales volume and then the decision becomes very easy.

I only know of two companies that pay out 100%

One of those is called Infinity Downline.

With the Infinity Downline program, members join at $25 per month. Each member you enroll pays you $25 per month with no admin fees.

One would wonder how the company makes their money if they are paying out 100%. They have other means of creating profit such as offering different marketing tools and services. But the commission payout for Infinity Downline 100%.

Enroll another member and you earn a $25 per mo residual income.

The pay plan for this I explain in another article.

The important point is the 100% payouts.

Infinity Downline is the first company I had come across in over 12 years which pays out 100% in commissions. There is only one more that I know of and it is owned by the same people.

So, if your current company is paying out 50% or less you can theoretically double your income with the same amount of work by incorporating Infinity Downline.
