Do you spend a lot of time at your computer but still can't seem to get anything done? Would you be interested in one tip that would help you get important things done plus make you some cash?

Information Overload is a common problem when building an Internet home business. Especially if you work a regular job 40 hours a week and have a family to take care of every day.

In the limited amount of time you have left, it may be hard for you to figure out where to start. And if you do get started on tasks that you know are important to the life of your business, do you always seem to get distracted?

If you find it difficult to focus your attention on the task at hand to the point that you rarely finish what you've started, listen very closely to the advice I have for you today.

This article can help change your Internet home business into the business you really wanted in the first place.

A couple of years ago I read a very good article from online marketing expert Yanik Silver. In it Yanik talked about how he got tired of not getting enough done with his business. He added one simple thing to the way he worked on his business that gave him a huge boost and changed everything.

He began setting deadlines on all of the tasks he needed to do. So I took his advice and started doing the same when working on my home-based marketing business. And the results were amazing, just like Yanik had experienced.

You see, I was just like you for a long time. Focusing my attention on any one thing for any length of time was almost impossible.

I now use deadlines regularly. Doing so has allowed me to finish and bring to market (among other things) a physical home study course I had been planning and working on for quite some time. When you finally finish something important that you've been thinking about for a long time, the feeling is great. And I want you to experience this feeling, too.

I now get projects and tasks done more than not. And I now finish them in a more timely manner. Why take six months to finish a project when you can do it in two?

Make it a point to use deadlines when building your Internet home business and when running promotions. When you put a deadline on a project you will see yourself actually getting things done in a timely manner. When you use deadlines in your promotions you will motivate your prospects to take the action you want them to take more easily.

Do you have a project that you just can't seem to finish? Or even worse, have you been thinking of creating a new product for a long time but just can't get focused enough to get started?

Well here's your chance to make a huge difference in your business starting today.

All you have to do is decide what you really want to get done that you have been having a problem with until now. Write up a schedule of the tasks you need to do to complete the project. Set a reasonable time frame in which you should be able to go from start to finish without stressing yourself out too badly. Now get started and stick to the deadline you've set until the task is complete.

You can reevaluate the deadline once you are well into the project if you see that you won't have enough time to finish it by your deadline. But don't be extending the deadline for trivial reasons. Take your deadline seriously and you will get more done faster. If you are too flexible with your deadline you will no longer have a deadline at all.

Do yourself a favor and set a deadline soon for your business but do not give yourself ANY flexibility with the deadline. This is the only way you will truly experience the beauty of setting deadlines.

The biggest names in online marketing use deadlines to get their products ready in time for some of these huge product launch events you may have seen over the last year or two. Many of these gurus did not have a finished product one week before the release date. But because the date has been widely promoted to thousands of people, they have no choice but to make sure it is ready for the big day.

You might have to put in a few 20 hour days as your deadline approaches to get your project finished. But by the deadline, you will indeed have a finished product. The same product you have been thinking of or working on for many months. Realize that without the focus that setting a deadline will bring you, that same product will most likely never become a reality.

Please think about this... Would you rather have a notebook full of ideas that never turns into anything or a finished product that's bringing in orders and making you cash? I'll take the orders and the cash. How about you?
