When holidays are closing in, most people have their vacations coming up. During these times, many of them are thinking about where to go, making it an excellent opportunity for any website. This method can be used in many different ways – not at all limited to travel affiliate programs. Asking people questions about their favorite things will give you the possibility to present them with just the right product.

To make a web poll suited for your website, you can try a simple search on google for ‘web poll’ or similar, or try polldaddy for easy and customizable web polls. Not much knowledge about HTML is needed, it’s pretty straight forward.

Making different web polls for different areas of your website will further increase the chances of someone being presented with the right banner or text-ad, intriguing them enough to check it out.

Another very good side effect of using polls as a way to gain affiliate commission is the huge amount of information gathered. Every time a visitor answers a poll, you gain a little more insight in the mind of your general audience.

This information is a perfect tool for choosing affiliate programs for the entire website. For every poll you launch, you will come one small step closer to presenting ALL your visitors with at least one perfect ad.

Once you have the web poll figured out, it’s easy to find new ways of utilizing it; the simplicity of the visitors interaction makes it useful for feedback on your website, on a specific topic or to figure out what your visitors are interested in.
