Divi Resorts offer up a range of holiday destinations in the Caribbean. There are a total of eight holiday resorts across the Caribbean, and they each have unique amenities and locations to satisfy whatever you're looking for out of your holiday, from golf and health spa facilities to gambling facilities at an onsite casino. Beneath are reviews of some of these properties so you can find out which Divi resort better fits your needs for your next vacation.
Divi Aruba All-Inclusive Beach Resort
If you're a fan of all-inclusive getaways, the Divi Aruba All-Inclusive Beach Resort extends a one price solution to your vacation. The Divi Aruba has buffet-style meals and includes all drinks, and also provides more traditional restaurant-style dining. To take advantage of the restaurants like the most popular Red Parrot, you'll need to make a booking as seating is limited. The fare is better than you'd expect from an all-inclusive resort, as most places opt for quantity and not quality. While it's not all fine dining, the selections are themed at night for variety and breakfast fare is pretty traditional. Lunch can be a little bland, but the overall quality of the food makes it worth the price. If you're an all-inclusive fan, you'll definitely be content, if not impressed, and if you've never taken such a vacation and are headed to Aruba, you might consider it since you'll only have to budget for one set price.
There are two kinds of accommodation at the Divi. There are the Vista rooms, two floors of rooms with a small patio/balcony and ocean views. Patio doors open onto these patios/balconies from the rooms, which have two beds or a single king. The lavatory is large with two sinks and a combination shower and bath. There is a small refrigerator and safe, in addition to traditional amenities like an iron/ironing board. There is also a sitting area in the Vista rooms. The rooms are neat and show a little wear in some places, but are overall a great place to spend down time.
The resort is connected by manicured walkways and lawns with palm trees interspersed. The beach stretches across the resort and is a little smaller in some places and wider in others. All in all the beach is a great place to enjoy the waters of the Caribbean: private and well-kept and not too packed. The huts are limited, though, so if you're looking to camp out under one of these large straw umbrellas, be ready to wake early or wait.
The pool and lobby are equally comfortable. The facilities are overall comfortable and clean, and while there isn't anything that really stands out as spectacular, there is nothing that takes away from the overall experience of the resort, either. All in all, if you're looking for a great place to unwind and enjoy the Caribbean at an all-inclusive rate, the Divi Aruba fits that need exactly.
Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort
While the Divi Aruba is most likely designed for families and younger guests, the Divi Gillage Golf and Beach Resort lends itself to older guests, or guests not looking for too many activities other than golf. The new villas are located near the golf course and feature the same amenities as those listed above: king/double beds, two-sink bathroom with bath/shower combo, sitting area and patio. The Divi Village also offers more choices for rooms like a studio with a kitchenette that is best for extended stays and guests looking to budget for meals. The restaurants here are of good quality, meaning you feel that you are getting a good meal for the price you pay. Some resorts charge too much for too little or too little quality, but the Sea Breeze Cafe, Mulligan's Bar and Windows on Aruba all offer different choices at the right price. The Sea Breeze is a bit more casual during the day and intimate at night, Mulligan's offers casual dining throughout the day, and Windows on Aruba is a contemporary restaurant with a little more refined feeling.
The layout of the resort is based on your choice of main activity. The villas are closer to the golf course and further from the beach, so be sure to decide where you'll be spending most of your time or if you're willing to make a little bit of a trip.
This is also a good place to talk about the Divi Resorts' connectivity. As a guest of one Divi resort, you're also free to use the amenities at other adjacent Divi Resorts. If you purchase a meal plan or all-inclusive vacation, you may use anything including restaurants and bars for free. This is a nice feature, as the Divi Resorts each have their specific focus, and going between the resorts is not difficult, so you get many resorts in one.
