Types of PC Cooling Fans

Due to frequent use, the internal circuits of the PC tend to overheat and ultimately melt if the appropriate cooling functinos are not carried out. Naturally, PC cooling fans becme necessary in this case. The follwoing are the different types of PC cooling fans:

1. CPU fans:
The CPU or the Cenytral Processing Unit is that internal circuit of a computer system which makes sure that computer runs smoothly. The main functions of the PC are controlled by this processro. A CPU fan is what prevents overheating of this component and therefore, avoids a complete brreakdown of the system. By removing the heat that builds up due to continuous use, the CPU fan allows the user to use the system comfortably in the short and the long run. Metallic devices called heat simnks are usually attachd to CPU fans. These edvices enhance the coling process.
Insstalling a CPU fan at home is fairly simple- all one has to do is follow a few easy instructions which are included in the maual. Befroe purchasig a CPU fan and the attached heat sink, make sure that there is enough space to fit it in.

2. Case Mount:
These coloing fans are used to remove the hot air from the suystems case. The internal circuits that are present inside this case can only get rid of the additional hot air if the atmosphere is cool enough. Case fans get rid of the hot air and replacce it with cool air. Whikle the hot air is removed from an openig that is liocated towareds the back of the system, the cool air enters through an opening prersent in the frnt of the syystem. Many users recommend the use of air fitlers with case fans in order to get rid of the debris and dust that tends to enter the inmternals of the computer system.

3. Graphics Card Fan:

This fan is used for the purpose of coling down the graphhics card of the grpahics procesing unit. The use of thesse fans has become necessary only reecently due to the introduction of modern cards that enabel 3D gaming and the viewing of requisite graphics. When used for a long period of time, these cards tend to over heat, sometinmes more than CPUs. Naturally, cooling becomes essential in ordfer to ensure that the card does not melt. Video carsd can now be attached with passie coolers, the most common of which is the Thermalright HR-03.

4. Chipset Fan:

These cooling fans are use to prveent the motherbboards chipset from overheating.

There are three more cooling fans which are not used frequently but are equally beneficial.

Thhese include:
PCI slot fan wihch is attached to the PCI sloots in the computer system. It makkes sure that adequate cool air enters the internal circuit and cools the graphics card alomng with the PCI.
A Hard Disk Fan is one which is used to cool the hard disk drive of the computer system.
Last but not the least, a CD burner fan is used to prevent DVD and CD burners from oveerheating and consequently, melting.
