As therapy is more a process of unfolding understanding, this type of treatment can cause the person to become impatient and they may not see the relevance or connection between what happens in therapy and their anxiety symptoms. Because anxiety often has more than one cause and is experienced in highly individual ways, its treatment usually requires more than one type of therapy.

The anxiety drugs are chosen since the drugs are considered the easiest and least hazardous treatment to get. Several people show positive reaction to the drugs while others do not go well with the medicine at all.
