Things to Consider Before Traveling to the Philippines

My pal and I have decided to visit the Philippines. Many say that the land is awe-inspiring and picturesque. Before the flight I've decided to do some advance planning. Take a look at some of the things we did in no particular order before flying overseas.

We hunted down places to find tickets that are not expensive. The two of us went online and looked at reliable forums to check out how much to spend. We have acquaintances who have gone overseas recently so we sought their input. They were asked where they bought their plane ticket and whether they believed the amount paid was not too much. What helped a lot was that I kept tabs on the newspapers to verify if someone was selling reasonably priced tickets. Likewise we drove around our town and stopped by some local travel agencies. The moment we purchased tickets we moved on to the next thing on the to do list.

We told our boss that we planned to go on vacation. The boss had no problem with us going on vacation. In anticipation of the trip we went over our schedule for any engagements. We made certain that during those dates that we would be away no critical engagements were reserved. I was faced with a few monetary obligations that would be due during the time that I would be away so I arranged to pay them in advance. An older sister has copies of my door key so she has agreed to keep an eye on my apartment while I am on the trip. I don't have pets but if I did I would find somebody to keep the pet while I'm gone.

I was of the opinion that we had considered all important issues but a friend suggested that we should check the expected weather conditions to see what the weather could be in the nation at the time of our stay. The nation from time to time goes through periods of heavy rain which can lead to a deluge of water. Therefore, we researched the areas we are visiting to see to find out if the weather would be good. If weather estimates are good we will take the flight.

We plan to commit to memory many local phrases before flying there. Filipino (Tagalog) is widely understood. In the following month we have decided to practice our Tagalog speaking skills by questioning each other. Every other day during lunch at work we want to memorize and pick up a few different vocabulary per day.
The following are various vocabulary we examined.
Thank you - Salamat po
traffic light - ilaw pangtrapiko
taxi - taksi
pants - pantalon
both - pareho
where can - saan
sometimes - kung minsan
streets - kalye

We hope to have fun in the PhPhilippineshilippine islands. We know someone who has a house there. We likely will connect with him for a short time and perhaps he can show us around when possible. This trip is not too distant and we are look forward to it. A little more than two months left before we board the airplane but I have already started setting aside much of the accessories I want to have for this trip. My plan is to take my Filipino language dictionary. Perhaps I will find an instructor to tutor me.
