Can you see a celebrity mount as you check out 2010 Belmont wagering? At first glance the obvious answer is going to be no.

But that actually may not be the case as there could be an excellent mount in Belmont gambling.

The winning horse in last year's Belmont Stakes, Summer Bird, didn't generate much excitement but went on to have a great year. Summer Bird continued on to win the Travers and the Rider Club Gold Cup. He was in fact the 3-year-old champion. Will this year's Belmont generate another celebrity mount?

In Belmont Stakes in 2010, there are a few horses that can leave a mark. Only four of the lineup of ten horses really have the ability to win competitions routinely. Ice Box came in second in the Kentucky Derby, First Dude was second in the Preakness, Fly Down won the Dwyer Stakes and Drosselmeyer was meant to be even better than Super Saver. One of those four horses could be headed for a lot of wins, starting with winning the Belmont Stakes.

Ice Box is the likely favorite in the Belmont Stakes gambling on Saturday, June 5th.

Trainer Nick Zito is extremely happy with how Ice Box is coming into the contest and there is little doubt that the mount will be favored in Belmont wagering.

Belmont gambling should have a lineup of ten race horses led by Ice Box. He is viewed as the best mount in the contest. His last work was an excellent one. He raced four furlongs in an amazingly fast time of 46.65 seconds on the Oklahoma Training Track Thursday morning. Out of 22 race horses who ran that length, it was the best time. Assistant trainer Maxine Correa was in the irons on that run.

You can certainly make a case for Ice Box being the right mount. With a better trip, he could easily have won the Kentucky Derby. He is the son of Pulpit and he is bred to race. He has a lot of potential and he has a great trainer in Nick Zito. First Dude easily could have won the Preakness but it didn't happen. He has only one win in seven starts but he could just be hitting his peak.

Fly Down is also certainly a horse to look at in the Belmont. He's at present defeated First Dude twice. He just dominated odds-on favorite Drosselmeyer by six lengths in the Dwyer. He seems as if he can run the distance of the Belmont and he is coming into this contest perfectly. Drosselmeyer could also be ready for a major effort. He is obtaining a new rider in Mike Smith and it could be time for this mount to meet his capability.

There are most likely to be ten starters in the Belmont and pragmatically only four of them have a solid possibility to win. An upset could occur but it actually appears that Ice Box, First Dude, Fly Down or Drosselmeyer will succeed.
