Candida cleanse diet - sounds strange doesnt it? But honestly this really is one of the most effective ways of removing the fungus from your system.

What is it?
The diet for Candida is a three step process designed to do two things;

Starve the Candida fungus - Candida love sugar, refined carbos, mold, basically everything that we all love. Starving the fungus of these foods is essential to cleansing your body of Candida.

Remove allergens/sensitivities. Food sensitivities and allergies increase the workload of our immune system and can overwhelm it, giving Candida the perfect invitation to take control within us. Because many of us wont know what we are allergic to, the first stage of the Candida diet is vital to identifying what foods dont agree with us.

How easy is the Candida Cleanse Diet?
To be frank, the most complicated part of the initial stages of the diet for Candida is creating a menu of the foods you can eat.
Stir fries and salads are the easiest things to make. You could even end up spending less time in the kitchen creating your meals.

How expensive is the food on the Candida Cleanse Diet?
This depends on how close you are to a supply of fresh produce and what you currently eat - if you eat a lot of prcessed foods you may even find that it costs you less!

Stage 1 of the Candida Cleanse Diet

Stage one of the Candida Cleanse Diet is where your first strike back at the fungus happens. This is where we start the process of killing the Candida by removing all likely food sources and this is also where we remove any foods that are stopping our immune system from functioning.

There are pages and pages online that are dedicated to stage one of the Candida Cleanse Diet, but here is a basic outline of what we need to eliminate from our diet;
sugar (including fruit, fruit juice and artificial sweeteners)
carbohydrates (simple or otherwise),
starch,
yeast,
mold,
gluten,
wheat or
dairy
Fermented foods like soy sauce, vinegar and alcohol are also out.

Some programs say that whole grains like amaranth, buckwheat and millet, low sugar fruits like pinapple or papaya, cottage cheese and unsweetened yogurt containing live cultures are fine at this stage. Others say no way! So the best way to handle this is to do what you feel is best. If you are unsure, then do not eat it, but if you can not stand the thought of lettuce without cottage cheese then pop a small blob on top of your salad!

Stage 2 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
Stage 2 is when we start to slowly reintroduce some foods. It is really important to add one food at a time so that you do not overload your digestive system all at once and so that you can tell if you have a reaction to that food.
It is so important to note whether you have any reaction at all to the food that you introduce, as this will tell you which foods you are sensitive to. A reaction can be a subtle as a foggy feeling or as overt as a full blown recurrance of all symptoms..

Stage 3 of the Candida Cleanse Diet
Stage 3 is basically when you have reintroduced most of your normal foods without incidence.

The Candida Cleanse Diet is a fantastic way of killing the fungus and helping to identify foods that may be suppressing your immune system, but to make a full recovery you also need to be able to heal the damage caused by the fungus and help your other organs deal with the Candida die off.
