You've discovered the most exciting MLM business and have joined. You've delved into the company background and done your due diligence, energized by the prospects you see in this opportunity. Your upline sponsor has touched base with you and has offered their expertise and assistance. Life is good. It's all systems go!

Speed up to three months down the line. You have no sign ups. It hasn't worked. You're completely confused. You're in constant conflict trying to balance the demands of your everyday life with your new business. You want to throw the towel in. This home business just hasn't worked for you.

Do you recognize this story? This is the case for every network marketer out there. Network Marketing isn't just about stepping into a new career, it's also about creating a new thought process. That takes time. And it takes commitment.

Many home business owners are unsuccessful because they just can't organize their time.

So how can you make sure you're a skilled time manager?

1. Schedule time for your business.

You MUST sit down and create a work schedule. Dismissive statements like, "It'll get done sometime soon", won't get you where you want to go. You have too many distractions, too many other things going on in your life. You need to commit the time it takes to develop your business or it will fail! Will you have to sacrifice a little? Yes. Will it pay off? More than you could ever imagine. Get your diary out this minute and make a commitment to what your working time will be.

2. Don't drown in investigation

Choosing to spend all your time investigating things about your business might make you an expert...but what will be bringing in the money? Busy with your head buried in books, your team members are getting real experience, talking to potential business partners, getting practical knowledge. No one reaches perfection before they jump right in. We, none of us, can learn all there is to learn. Earn WHILE you learn.

3. Make a catalog of what's important.

Your most important goals are the ones that pay. Ensure that these get your attention first and foremost. Otherwise, you could get lost in filing or researching and never get around to prospecting. Remember, the hardest part is getting started. Just make a decision that you WILL make one telephone call, send one email every single day, and you will have begun.

4. Try and do one thing a day to improve you
r business.

It may mean discussing your business offer, listening to a training audio, or completing a section in an instructional book. It doesn't have to be a big, huge task. The way to success is perseverance and continuity. And the big picture is that you are on your way to early retirement one small step at a time.

5. Keep your business in order.

You will waste valuable time if you have to hunt for everything. A clear, uncluttered working environment means a clear and uncluttered head for business. Good habits you get into from the very beginning will stay with you, regardless of how much your business grows.

6. Stay focused.

Your business needs your fortitude and resilience to succeed. Commit to sticking with it for at least half a year and you will realize the power behind Network Marketing.
