Let me be very clear about blogging with a couple of key points. If you own an internet business of any type and do not have an active blog, you are flat out missing the boat. If you start a blog on Tuesday and expect to get leads from your blog on Wednesday you need a wake up call.

Make it personal. When getting started, I always suggest people write about their business. The good, the bad and the ugly. Reveal what you are doing and how it works.

Everything you do should be linked. Your keyword strategy should be synchronized because the main purpose of your blog strategy is to help your free offering pages or any page you want have better search engine placement.

Define your niche Answer the question as to what your blog is really about. This is where marketing 101 comes in to play. You must answer the reader's question, what's in it for me.
