What you want may not be there today, but it could crop up at any time in the future. Some of these sites will even have a facility where you can put in a request for a certain item. This is a great idea because it may well be seen by a seller who has exactly what it is you are after.

Some websites will also trade in only one specific area. For example, if you want a few certain albums from the early 80s, there will be a massive amount of companies who specialise in nothing else. Or perhaps you are a big fan of German Expressionist movies from the 1920s? If so, then you will know these are a little more difficult to come by than the latest instalment of ‘Die Hard’... The internet is such a brilliant tool to use because someone somewhere will totally cater for your taste.

We often forget just how lucky we are to have such an amazing amount of choice. This digital age gives us access to all manner of things that previous generations would never have dreamt of. We literally have the world at our fingertips and can track down all manner of obscure items.
