You've hit upon the greatest home business opportunity and have become a partner. You've done all your research and are really motivated by the many possibilities you see in this incredible line of business. Your sponsor has gotten in touch with you and has promised to support you all the way. Life is good. Your time has come!

Onwards three months into the future. You have no leads. This is depressing. You're completely confused. You never seem to have any time to do what it takes to succeed. You're getting ready to drop out. This MLM business isn't right for you.

Is this ringing any bells? This has happened to every single one of us at some point in our journey. Network Marketing isn't just about stepping into a new career, it's also about creating a new thought process. This can take a while. And it takes commitment.

Lots of people in Network Marketing fail simply because they never mastered the art of time maintenance.

So how can you make sure you don't fall into this category?

1. Schedule time for your business.

There are no two ways about it, you have GOT TO set up a work timetable. Simply saying, "I'll work on it sometime this week." is not going to cut it. We all have too much to do and little spare time. If you don't make MANDATORY time for your business, it won't happen! Will you have to sacrifice a little? Yes. Will it be worth it in the end? You bet. Take your calendar out NOW and decide when your business hours will be.

2. Don't drown in investigation

Learning is always great - but if you put all your time into study...how are you earning? While you're getting "book learning", others are out there prospecting, making mistakes and SALES. It's a mistake to believe you must know all there is to know before you begin. We, none of us, can learn all there is to learn. Earn WHILE you learn.

3. Set out your goals in order of priority.

The top activities are the ones that will make you money. Make sure you do those first. Because sometimes, we forget that above all the rest, it's the prospecting that will really make your business succeed. Remember, the hardest part is getting started. If you commit to just one email, one phone call a day, you will find it easier and easier to do it again.

4. Make an effort to progress each and every day.

This could be talking to someone about the opportunity, reading a chapter in a self-help book, creating an email or flier for your business. It doesn't have to be a big, huge task. You should always have your end goal in mind and work towards that. All our smaller goals may differ - but the one thing we all want is financial security and freedom.

5. Create a system

What could be a bigger waste of precious time than having to search for things hidden beneath a mess? You've got to be your own secretary and make sure your work environment is clean and organized. Simple things, like tidying up and being organized with your paper work will mean you keep on top of the little things, no matter how much your business speeds up.

6. Keep your eye on the prize.

Your business needs your fortitude and resilience to succeed. Just decide - "I'm going to make this my priority for six months of my life", and you will be amazed by what Network Marketing can bring you.
