Wordpress is a very flexible program to work with. No matter if you are choosing to use it as a personal blog, promoting your business, or as an affiliate marketing platform, Wordpress is able to do all of these and much more.

Wordpress can be used hosted on your own site or hosted by Wordpress. Although, hosting on your own site enables you to have many more options and more capabilities.

Themes & Templates:
You need to remember you only have one chance to impress the visitors to your site. If they are not impressed they will simply leave and not return. With the Wordpress software you have the ability to upload the theme of your choice and click a button to install and you’re done. This saves a lot of time in comparison to building a website or blog from the ground up.
There are literally hundreds of places where you can get free themes and templates, however I have found that the free themes and templates do not offer as many capabilities or flexibility.

The capabilities contained in word press make modifying your site simple and save you loads of time. You will be able to customize the look of your Wordpress on whether your visitors will look at the home page, a category page, or a single entry page. The choice is yours with a simple click of your mouse. This gives you the power to optimize each area of your site which will lead more repeat visitors and higher conversion rates.

Plugins:
As most people know, Wordpress is considered a lightweight software program therefore it does not have a lot of capabilities that comes with it. You can however add plugins to the software. A plugin is a small program that when added to Wordpress, interacts with the software to provide some extensibility to the software. Plugins are not part of the core software. They typically don’t function as stand-alone software. They do require the host program (Wordpress) to function.

There are literally thousands of plugins available for Wordpress - certainly way too many for me to list. You can find many free plugins but if you are looking for greater functionality then you will need to pay - although they are usually very inexpensive. There are even membership sites that offer you access to a continuing supply of updated plugins.

Author Management:
One important factor of running your Wordpress blog or website is learning when and how to delegate. Wordpress allows multiple authors so you have the authority to easily authorize other people to create content, without having to give out your personal administrative information to these other authors. This does not give them too much power over your site, which would allow other authors to just basically take over. They will only get enough power to get their job done and that is it.

Or you can purchase software that will auto submit for you. This is great for the fledgling internet marketer who is still working a full time job and doesn’t have the time to submit or change content on a daily basis. Check this program.

Huge Community:
Since Wordpress is so popular there are people all over the world who develop add-ons to the Wordpress software. These add-ons can include new themes and plugins among others. Some of these people also understand the intricate problems associated with Wordpress and will be able to assist you - IF you happen to encounter an issue. Along with the huge community around the world there are also books that will help you get started with installing and using the Wordpress software effectively.

As you can see there are a variety of benefits that you can gain from using Wordpress software. What was once used for blogging has now grown into a very powerful program to help you create a site that will draw in the traffic and make money for you.
