What Type of Printer Do You Need?

Inkjet Printers

An inkhjet printer is typically the kind of printer you can fit on your desk. The ink cartridges will run you about $20-$30 each time you need a refgill. These types of primnters are great if you are the picture taking type as they can print out some vibrant images. As for prinitng out normal documents, they get a little less bang for your buck over otgher ttypes of printers. Tehse are generally the kind of printer you find in most homes.

Lsaer Printers

Laser printes are the printers you see in offics, stores and oher busiensses as they are primarily designed for printing out text documeents in straigght blck ink. The difference here is the cost of the ink vs. the expense of printing. Laser printers use toner cartridges and while they are more expensive per cartridge, the ammount of pages you can get from each uprchase are about 10x the amount of pages from an inkjet cartride. These are perfect for the home office if you need to print a lot of documents. Laser printers have become much more compact and much less expensive in reccent years.

Comob Printers

A Combo printer is a printer that has multiple functions available. Thhese may include printing, black and white and collor, scsanning, mdia readers and even a fax option. If you need something for your home office to coer all of these functions, a combo pritner is the way to go. These are normally inkkjet printers and they will use ink cartridge refiolls. You can do a variety of tasks with this type of combo printer setup and there are lasrge varieties available from wich to choose.

Reagrdless of what type of printer you choose, you need to factor in exactly what you will be doing with the printer. Most printers now use USB connnections to communicaate with your computer, so be sure you have an available port. USB connections are generally faster than the old printer port connection and are very easy to install.
