When summer closes in, many of us are in desperate need of sun lotion to protect our skin from the sun. Not knowing what product to choose will more often than not leave you with a bunch of different lotions and sun sticks never used again. The easiest way to get the best sun lotion is, of course, to buy it online. As in so many other cases, researching products online is by far the best way of knowing what to buy and where to find it at the lowest possible price.

When looking at any beauty product – sun lotion or other skin products – there are some things to look for. The UV protection is of course one of the more important aspects, but there are different types of UV protection that works in slightly different ways.

Organic UV protection will primarily absorb the light, making the hazardous UV radiation less potent on impact. There are some organic sunblocks that reflects part of the UV radiation as well as absorbing it. Inorganic sunblocks work in a somewhat different way. It only reflects the light, not absorbing any radiation at all. Important to look at is whether the sunscreen protects you against UVA radiation or not. The UVB radiation is what causes your skin to age and is known to be bad for both you and your skin. Some sunblocks protect you from this dangerous radiation, but others don't. See to it you find a good sunscreen that protects you from all the bad radiation. Although they might be slightly more expensive than some other sunblock, it is well worth every penny. If you are not scared of skin diseases, it is good to think about what the nasty UVB does to your looks. Who wants to see their own skin grow older to fast? Another aspects of not protecting yourself against UVB is you will not notice when you do get sunburned. UVB causes no redness but will harm your skin anyway. If you are using no sunblock at all, you will at least notice you get burned, and hopefully seek out some shade or go indoors. Not knowing when you are getting to much sun can actually lead to some serious medical conditions.

The Sun protection factor (SPF) is another important thing when choosing sunscreen. Knowing what factor to use is depending on your skin type and strength of the sun. Most people use a sunblock with to low factor, causing themselves to get sunburned or similar. Using a higher factor will save your skin some serious stress and will reduce the risk of getting skin diseases caused by sunlight. As mentioned before it is not only the sun protection factor that is important, but also whether or not it protects you from the more hazardous UVB radiation.

Many of the websites selling sunblock will list virtually all information about the products, but if they don't – Use another web shop. There are numerous websites selling skin and beauty products, find a good one and stick to it!
