Why is christian church outreach such a mystery to so many christians? In actuality, it should not be like waiting on a magical outreach idea to be sent to you from God before your christian church can grow. Many churches get groups of people together with the job of doing nothing more than getting ideas together.

Was it ever so hard for a christian church to get new members in days gone by? The truth is that the christian church is trying hard to make up for something. Doing things like a business is what churches are now trying instead of doing things like a church. The bible says about Gods arm that it is not too short to save. What then could be causing the failure of christian churches to see real growth through their outreach?

To answer this problem will not be too hard for us. We are trying to copy the world in its marketing efforts because that is all we know to do. We may have some success nevertheless I believe this is just because marketing works. Our christian churches have become obsessed with the numbers of people in the church so much so that you may just be another number on the church growth graph. If you wonder why the church is trying to copy the world you are not alone.

The sad truth is that churches have no idea what else to do other than follow the pattern of other businesses. Things that the church has done in the past may have worked out well then however they are not doing too well now. I am talking about word of mouth advertising as being what the church used to do. I don't know if you have ever seen it nevertheless remember when churches had people line up out the doors to hear what was happening? I myself have never seen that in my own generation since I am fairly young.

These days there has been a lack of a powerful church so much so since there have been generations past that have missed out on this. There are a lot of people in many christian churches so they have good numbers. We may even see christian churches active in the community. What we do not see a lot of though is Christians that act like it.

Here is the point where we see the truth of why christian churches use outreach programs like marketing. churches are using methods the world does since they do not have the power of God any longer in most of them to make people want to know what is going on in those white washed tombs we call christian churches.

I am not anti church. Many christian churches out there are doing all that they can to keep to the bible. I am a strong supporter of public christian church.. It just breaks my heart to know that in many churches the love of the people has grown cold. The church looks just like the world in that they do not have the kind of love in the bible that hates sin...they have the worlds love that tolerated it. If we look at the early christian church we will see it was not like this!
If you remember the bible said that we should not glory at how accepting we are although rather we should be wanting those who blemish our assemblies to be removed. Paul even talked about turning over people to Satan that they would have their bodies destroyed. I don’t think you will hear that now.

In fact, if a pastor openly started pointing a finger and saying to certain people that they are not real Christians you would find christian churches casting that pastor out of their church. The bible on the other hand says to mark those who walk contrary to the word of God. This is why the church has lost its power in growth that stays. The church has begun to be nothing more than a worldly social club. It is written that christians are supposed to be a strange people. The church will stand out when they begin to do this.

We must make sure our message is standing out and shouting louder than our methods of outreach. We do this by having people that are fully surrendered to God as our churches outreaching arm. For a sinner to tell another sinner they need God is for a blind man to try and lead a blind man. The christian church has to be cleansed prior to the outreach ideas that they have will make a lasting difference.

In short, when your church outreach becomes stale and not effective it may be time to check the quality of the christian church members walk with God. So many people have an idea that the church is full of hypocrisy and they are right. It is since not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a Christian. These kind of people are like clouds with no water. They contaminate it so that no one wants to drink from it.

In the same way if we purge our churches then our outreach ideas may only be to have each member invite someone. Because of the quality of those people though the church will grow through that outreach!
