If you really want to stop sweaty armpits, you might be so frustrated that you would try anything. But what if there was a natural solution that worked? These are some suggested solutions.
Make sure you shower frequently, at least every morning, and choose clothes made of natural fibres that are loose-fitting. White or black clothes are typically best for hiding underarm sweat. You could increase the effectiveness of your anti-perspirant by re-applying it throughout the day, and not just once when you get dressed. If re-applying doesn't work, you might consider a high-strength antiperspirant. Most strong antiperspirants have higher percentages of Aluminium Chloride to be effective, but there are natural alternatives, without the Aluminium Chloride, that can work just as well.
What's in your diet can also be a cause of excessive underarm sweating. If you're a fan of spicy foods, caffeine and even chocolate, you might want to try reducing your intake of these to see if it helps stop sweaty armpits. You might even try changing to other foods that have been said to help with excessive sweating. Excessive sweating might be linked to the level of toxins and waste in your body, so any foods that work to flush those out might help. Whole-grain foods, fruit, and vegetables are all packed with vitamins and fibre which help the body to get rid of waste.
Enjoying a better diet might not only help stop sweaty armpits, but it should make you feel healthier. If you're a nervous sweater, looking and feeling better should improve your confidence, and reduce your anxious sweating. You might want to try other calming foods to help reduce your nervous underarm sweating, like Chamomile tea for example.
If you are prepared to try some more concocted natural remedies, there have been some that have been claimed to help improve excessive armpit sweating. If you mix a couple of teaspoons of raw organic honey with a couple of teaspoons of non-acidic apple cider vinegar and try drinking this three times a day on an empty stomach, this could help. Adding some sage leaves to 2 cups of water, boiling it up and drinking it in the morning, and again later in the day, has been shown to help. Also, you could try adding sage to the other foods you eat.
Certain forms of exercise have been thought to help stop excessive sweating. If you sweat a lot because of nerves, you might want to try yoga to help you relax. More physical exercise has been shown to help the body flush out toxins, which can help reduce your excessive sweating (and if you use exercise to help manage your weight, this could increase the benefits). Acupuncture has also been shown to help excessive sweating sufferers, but it just depends how you feel about a treatment that involves lots of needles!
Hopefully, some of these suggestions will be ideas you haven't tried before and will help you find a natural solution that works. It could be worth investigating these and other natural solutions to see if they will stop sweaty armpits, so you hopefully don't have to consider more drastic options like electrolysis, botox injections and even surgery.
