Stanley Cup Gambling Game 3 Coverage

Bad news for anyone that thought the 2010 Stanley Cup wagering series was going to end in a Blackhawks sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers: Flyers 4, Hawks 3.

In their Game 3 win the Flyers demonstrated to the hockey wagering world and –more importantly- to the Blackhawks that there's still a lot of hockey left to play in this NHL odds competition and this tournament is not even close to over. If anything, with the next game in this hockey wagering matchup in Philly in front of their wild buffs, this Stanley Cup wagering series is just gaining started as the series is now nearly level at 2-1.

Philly rebounded superbly and responded when the team's back was against the wall just like it's done throughout the NHL playoff wagering event. In yet another 1-goal win, the 3rd such margin of win in three Stanley Cup wagering matches this year, the Flyers finally took control of a game and got the puck to bounce the right way for once.

It's hard to say that one player or the other was the hero when nearly everyone on the Philly roster stepped up big in Game 3. But one player that did have a marvelous impact on this hockey wagering score but didn't necessarily show up in the box score was Philadelphia Flyer defense man Chris Pronger. Pronger was everywhere in this Stanley Cup wagering competition; body checking on end, robbing pucks, leading the break and setting up many goals in this hockey wagering matchup. Even though he officially only had one assist on the stat sheet, he was the Flyers MVP in this hockey wagering competition.

Philly came out on the offense right away and drew first blood with a goal just 4 minutes into the first period by Danny Briere on the power play. Scott Hartnell and Braydon Corburn, players that also figured conspicuously into the Flyers victory, assisted and set him up. Briere and Hartnell each concluded with a goal and an assist, but the statistic champ for Philly and man who landed the final point was Claude Giroux who concluded with 1 goal and 2 assists.

There were a number of bright spots for the Hawks despite losing the NHL wagering competition. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews finally got on the scorer's sheet, and goalie Antti Niemi was quite good despite allowing 4 goals (28 extraordinary saves), and even though the outcome was not what the team hoped for, they still performed well.

In spite of losing Game 3 the Hawks finally got their leading scorers Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane on the board (Kane 1 goal and 1 assist, Toews 1 assist) and that may very well be a threatening precedent for the Flyers. The Philly defenders have done a fantastic job closing down Chicago's star players and forcing other players like fringe veteran Marion Hossa to beat them. But once big time players like Toews and Kane get wind of the net, it can be like a shark gaining a taste of blood.

Still, with players like Chris Pronger patrolling the ice the Flyers will be able to still contain the Hawks superstars and outscore the Hawks in Game 4.
