Creating soy candles is simple. You will need the following materials to make your own.

" A glass jar
" 1 cotton wick
" 1 lb. soy wax
" 1 oz. fragrance oil
" wax dye
" Sewing needle or pin
Melt the wax completely in a pot over a medium flame. Remove from heat and add the fragrance until it is thoroughly mixed in. Add the dye in small amounts until it is the color consistency you would like. Carefully pour the wax mixture into your glass jar. Place the wick in the center of the jar. Use a sewing needle or pin to keep the wick standing upright. Allow the wax to cool before trimming the wick to ¼ inch and lighting the candle.
