Labels are the most cost-effective marketing tools that help you to spread awareness about your brand far and wide.

A well-designed label has the power to attract highly-targeted audience towards a product instantaneously. On the one hand, it enlists the salient features of a product, and on the other hand, it also provides essential information about the company. Thus, in one place, the customer gets all the requisite information, which persuades him to buy the product. Here are some practical tips that will help you to get outstanding results from label printing.

• Design- The design of the label should be visibly appealing as well as match perfectly with the logo of the company. The colors, graphics and fonts should be attractive and comprehensible. On the whole, the label design should appear more alluring after printing, and should able to grab the attention of the viewer instantly.

• Color Scheme- The color scheme also has a marked effect on the quality of label printing. Normally, two types of color schemes are used for printing viz. RGB (Red Green and Blue) and CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). The latter is more costly than the former. The new series of digital printers have the ability to mix all the seven colors to give a better effect.

• Font size- By reducing the font size the cost of printing can be certainly reduced, but this strategy would also make the contents incomprehensible. As the result, the entire impact of the label would be lost. Hence, make sure that the company name and logo are clearly visible. Likewise, the product name, ingredients and any warning should also be explicit. For the remaining information, the font size can be compromised to a certain extent.

• Label shape and size- The final outcome of label printing is also affected by the shape and size of the tag. The shape of the sticker can be rectangular, square, circular, oval, or triangular. Similarly, the size can range between very large, large and small. Typically, the shape and size of the tag significantly depends upon the dimensions of the product on which it is placed. The cost of printing a label is directly proportional to its size. Due to this fact, don’t reduce the size to such an extent that it becomes difficult to read the contents.

• Paper quality- The end-product of label printing, to a large extent, depends upon the quality of paper used. For items that do not remain in direct contact of water, ordinary paper is used. However, for products like shampoos, toilet cleaners, buckets, soap case and the like, laminated paper is used so as to protect the sticker from moisture. Irrespective to the kind, the quality of the paper should be good so that the design and contents are properly printed.
