If you are a skier and like to hit the slopes on cold and windy days, but on a ski mask. This is not the time to be fashionable, but rather to accept your condition and perhaps hold up a bank while you're at it. I'm kidding of course.

Different things affect people with rosacea in different ways. For instance, some folks go beet red when they have a glass of wine or other alcoholic drinks. If you find yourself getting a glow on while having dinner at a nice restaurant, perhaps you'll have to cut back, or simply forgo anything with alcohol. With hot foods and drinks such as coffee, tea, soup, or hot chocolate, you can simply wait until it cools off.

It's a different scenario with spicy foods. If you love hot ethnic foods, such as curries, nachos, and chili, you can either throw caution to the wind or choose something on the menu that is not marked with a little red chili pepper. Seasonings such as red pepper, cayenne, and pepper can trigger flushing as well. However, there are so many herbs and spices such as oregano, cumin, cinnamon, sage, coriander, and thyme, that you don't have to deprive yourself.

You may discover, to your dismay, that these measures simply aren't working for you, and your skin is not only red and irritated but breaking out in pimples as well.
