No, do not do this and try to keep your by put away in an inconspicuous location when parked at home. One simple thing that is easy to forget it your keys. Of course, if you leave your keys in the ignition that is all too easy to for someone to drive away with your pride and joy. One thing you should do, however, is to record your key number in case you lose your keys. You will also want to file away your key number as it is very easy for someone to make copies of your keys if they have this number. You will see your key number stamped on your key, usually near the top part of it.
If you really want to spend a little extra money you can get an alarm for your motorcycle. A popular type of alarm is the disc alarm, which can attach to your wheel. These devices can send you a text or page if it is activated and someone is trying to steal your motorcycle. There are audible alarms available in these models as well.
