In this game you play as Alec Mason a mining engineer which was send to Mars to live there, work there and join up with his brother then you later find out that your brother is a member of the Red Faction that fight against the EDF (Earth Defense Force) to over through them.

You later also join the Red Faction to fight with them for freedom on Mars and to deliberate the EDF, do not worry I will not spoil anything further for you.

The game Red Faction: Guerrilla is a open word game where you can go where you want and to destroy any building or structures that you come upon with a big variety of weapons like sledgehammers, mine bombs and all sorts of rocket launchers, laser rifles ect.

The weapons and upgrades I took in this game were to upgrade my armor and Remote Mining Charges first so that I could get behind enemy lines blow up what has to be blown up and get out of there as fast as possible.

After my armor and remote mining charges upgrades I started upgrading the weapons I liked the most in the game and they were the remote mining charges, either one of the four sledge hammers, the Nanotech Rifle and then either of the following Assault Rifle, Gauss Rifle or Rail Driver.

If you were wondering why I picked those weapons is to be able to do damage in all aspects for example:

With the remote mining charges I use for destroying enemy buildings and enemy vehicles, plus believe me you if I tell you that you are going to destroy a lot of different structures in this game that is why I upgraded the remote mines quantity and more powerful explosions.

The Assault Rifle, Gauss Rifle or Rail Driver I use for enemy soldiers on the ground and in the buildings, I like the rail driver the most because you can take out your enemies that are hiding behind the walls and in buildings by shooting through walls.

The Nanotech rifle is also one of my favorite weapons to use because it can take out enemies that are covering an area in towers by shooting the four pillars that hold the tower after that you can just enjoy watching the tower fall killing the enemy soldiers, this weapon is also great for oncoming enemy vehicles because it do a lot of damage.

Least but not last is the sledge hammer which gives you the power to bash through anything and every one with tremendous power, there is nothing more fun than running around and hitting your enemy with the sledge hammer giving you the ability to kill them with one shot; one hit one kill.

This is a very fun game to play and I would recommend you play it for your own safety, you do not have to play the game like I did but you can mix and match between a wide variety of weapons, enjoy the game.
