Oh bugger. Your life was just getting back to normal and then you feel it.....
That deep seated itch, that burn or that incredibly annoying cotton wool feeling in your mouth. No matter what you do, it just wont go away.
If you have more than 4 attacks in a year of any of these then you have a recurring yeast infection problem.

Many people who suffer from a recurring yeast infection have two questions; why are they getting them and how to make them stop.
To get to the bottom of your recurring yeast infection you need to find out what is causing it.

Your lifestyle ultimately influences your susceptibility to a recurring yeast infection two ways.

1) By making the good bacteria work too hard
In a healthy body the Candida are kept under control by the various good bacteria.

You can do this by:
Eating loads of sugar, saturated fat and refined carbohydrates,
Having constant stress
becoming sleep deprived,
not exercising,

2) Giving the bad guys a boost
Sometimes we can do things that actually encourage the Candida to multiply.Sometimes a recurring yeast infection can be stopped just by avoiding some of these really common mistakes;

Hygiene is a big issue. Make sure that you wash and dry yourself thoroughly. Also take special care around areas that have been affected by Candida - you may need to use a different cloth for these to avoid transfering the spores to another part of your body.
Wearing clothing that does not breathe. The Candida fungus hates air, so by wearing fabrics like nylon you are encouraging the bad bacteria to grow.

Another simple way that a recurring yeast infection happens is because you only treated the symptoms last time. Soooo many people only treat their infection until they begin to feel better, not until the infection has completely cleared.. This is a huge mistake. Even the over the counter medications need to be used for the full term as stated on the instructions - usually a full two weeks.

If you just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause then you are destined to forever suffer from a recurring yeast infection!
