Despite the loss of Perkins, Celtics coach Doc Rivers is still very much confident of the chances of his team of regaining the NBA crown this year. Rivers said without Perkins other front-line players of the team namely veteran center Rashed Wallace and young power-forward Glen Davis need to work harder to solidify their front-court against the Lakers. He said even seldom used big-man Brian Scalabrine or Shelden Williams will be given minutes just to ensure that the Celtics can compete hard against the Lakers in their crucial and winner take all game.
