When I call in because I want to downgrade my service to a lower cost, I do not want to be sold on why I should actually upgrade to get a better package deal. These are the kinds of things that people are tired of. These are the things that are sending people to search for an alternative to satellite.

For all the high costs of satellite you would think that the actual service would be top notch. You would never expect or accept bad signals, malfunctioning equipment should be almost unheard of, and freezes in the broadcast should never happen. All of these issues have been a reality, and that is unacceptable. For the premium on satellite, inconsistencies in the service are just way too common. This is often the final straw for most people. If not for the incredibly high price, the satellite problems would not be such an issue. They might even still be forgiven if the customer support was useful, but it is not. For the high costs, the aggitations to get issues fixed are just too much to bear.
