n the past few years, Google and other major search engines have begun buying out the most popular blogs online. Google current best and most significant blog website is named Blogspot. Blogspot has millions of users creating blogs daily and updating them, one of the best things about blogs and particularly blogpost is that it is updated currently and by the minute, meaning it has real time updates. When you blog, you're able to write content which will be updated instantaneously by Google and allow you to get on first pages; not only is this good, but it also means that you're able to get people on your website for free and compete with real paying websites using only a free blog; while we don't completely advise using blogspot; we do advise adding a blog page as an extension to your website, particularly a Wordpress related blog (you can read more on wordpress by typing it into Google). When you keep adding content to your blog, it archives them into files within the blog that get picked up and cached by Google, meaning you can continuously stuff your page with whatever you have to say, interesting news pieces, updated information, or whatever is on your mind and people can see it by the second. Blogs are also a good place to place paid advertisments or other tidbits about your real website.

What is blog commenting?

Blog commenting is a form of receiving backlinks which is very beneficial, unlike other forms of backlink updates (article distributions, directory submission), backlinks from blogs are updated by Google immediately and you receive credit for them as soon as the blog website is cached by Google. Blogs written by other people generally have a comment area where you can place your name, e-mail address (not shown publicly), and e-mail address. Instead of simply writing your name as "John", in order to receive a backlink, your name must be a keyword which you are trying to rank on 1st page for. After placing your website address in the specified place, the comment box automatically pulls your name and website address together into an anchor text. This anchor text is your backlink determinant, and thus blog commenting becomes extremely important; not only is it important, but it is easy.

The next thing is relevance, the blogs you place your comment on should be relevant to the type of keyword you're trying to place on 1st pages for, so if your website is about golf, try to find blogs which are talking about golf (anything related, golf carts, golf clubs, golf hobbyists, etc.). Google loves relevant websites and will place you higher on search engines if you have more relevant backlinks as opposed to simply having backlinks which are not relevant at all and are not tied into your overall website theme. In Google's world, the more relevant you are, the better you are for a specific search.

So either get writing on a blog to receive higher traffic and targeted traffic (comes from the types of keywords you're chasing), or begin commenting on other blogs to receive good backlinks. One way or the other, you're benefting from Google.
