So we bought the HDTV antenna and brought it house. No construction required and we set the 17yr old back on the roofing using the walkie talkies again and this time we had a signal before we even attempted to alter the antenna.
It had been implausible.. we discovered all the channels reaching in crystal obvious without having even trying to arranged the antenna in the perfect "sweet" area that we had been use to setting using the prior other two. Just by putting it on the roofing and pointing it in the generalised direction wherever the stations had been situated was all that was required!
Apparently this HDTV antenna was a much greater caliber antenna. If I would have recognized this 5 days before, I could have saved all those evenings, the poor kid on the roofing and the aggrevation it took for our loved ones to eventually relish HDTV!
