I know you hear about these so called no credit check car loans day after day through all forms of advertising. It is almost impossible to turn on the television, radio, or pick up a newspaper without someone shouting about offering you these no credit check car loans. The question that most people ask themselves is if this is for real.
The short answer to that question is yes, but there are many strings attached to these particular types of loans. The first thing is even though these loans may not require that your credit be checked you do have to show that you are able to repay the loan that you may get from one of these dealers. They always require a proof of income; payroll check stub or some other proof of a steady and predictable income. If you can't show any income you will not qualify for even these loans.
The next thing that you will deal with on these types of loans is an astronomical interest rate. You can rest assured if they don't check your credit, they are going to make up for their risk by offering you a rate that should be unacceptable to anyone. In almost all circumstances these loans will involve rates that are three or four times that you will get from more traditional financing.
The next thing that you will deal with is most of these loans will be obtained from a buy here pay here dealer. Although these dealers do offer a service that you cannot get in most other places I do not suggest you use one unless that is the absolute last alternative that you can find. On their no credit check auto loans they charge you way too much for interest and you pay way too much for the car in many circumstances. These dealers know that you feel that they are your only choice and unfortunately the capitalize on that by charging you more than they should. Not all of these dealers are this way but I have heard horror stories.
So the long answer to the original question is no, they are not for real. There are so many strings attached to these deals and the beating that you will almost always take on the interest rate and the high prices that these dealers charge for their cars is a recipe for disaster.
