Network Marketing Training - Why It's Important To Have Training That Works In MLM Today

Network Marketing is a funny industry that's simultaneously full of almost 'religious' training dogma, but at the same time - it's got some of the most brilliant marketing tactics in the entire world of business. When you're first getting started out in this industry, you could luck out and have a sponsor that knows how to train you in modern day tactics, or you could be sponsored by someone that has never created any kind of real wealth in their entire life.
Really, it can be guesswork when you're new on what kind of training is really going to help your Network Marketing business excel to the next level.
Let me give you a quick example to show you what I'm talking about. Let's say you get involved in a company, and you've got someone 10 levels upline from you who built most of his Network Marketing team back in the 1970's. So what he's going to do is probably give you a list of things to do that worked 40 years ago when he first got started.
There's a problem with getting training like that.
You see, what worked in Network Marketing 30 years ago might not necessarily work today, the market has changed, response has changed, and although any trainer will still tell you that Network Marketing is a relationship based business model, the way that people build relationships in the 21st century is dramatically different than it was in 1970.
For example, you might get trained to invite everyone over to your house to have a meeting where you present your Network Marketing opportunity - something that may or may not work at all in your business, but would have REALLY worked well 40 years ago. 40 years ago in North America, everyone knew their neighbors on a first name basis - today, they've never even met them half the time.
So does it make sense to use an approach that used to work with dramatically different environments? No. I find, for example, when training my Network Marketing team that people in certain ethnic demographics do well with home meetings, and that predominantly white Caucasian people tend to absolutely stink at them.
Why is that? I'll leave explanations up to the philosophers - I'm here to train what works. What are you looking for in Network Marketing Training?
You're looking for training that produces results for you in your business NOW. In my opinion, if you want results, learn to get them from people who are actively in the game, building a massive MLM team right now in the moment - and learn what they are doing.
I struggled for years in this industry because I was taught how to build a business from people that told me to do things that they hadn't done in 50 years. Well, building a team from scratch and holding a huge team together are two entirely different skills, and that mentality held me back.
Sometimes, trainers who have been around a zillion years do what I like to call 'Dumb big network marketer stuff.' Don't get caught into a belief system that doesn't serve your business. Why are you looking for Network Marketing training? To get results. It's as simple as that - so let's make some results happen for you and BUILD IT BIG.
