There are many misconceptions in the work about network marketing. Some are derived from small business owners that didn't get the job done correctly, while others are basically myths. Our goal is to not only explain network marketing to the reader, but to inspire him/her to take charge of their lives as well.

Success is something that comes to those who work at it. However, like everything else, it comes in different shapes and sizes. Given the state of the current United States economy, it is imperative that people take control of their lives in ways they have never done so thoroughly before. Network marketing is one way this can be done.

Network marketing is very different from pyramid schemes. While pyramid schemes are deserving of deeper hesitation, network marketing organizations, are not. Think of network marketing companies as co-ops. In a co-op, members are able to achieve more, faster, at a better price because they are uniting to work together. The only difference from a co-op, with a network marketing company, is that each "partner" in the company has his/her own functional business. This is really terrific because each business owner is able to set his/her priorities, schedule, income, and directly manage what happens within a given organization. A network marketing owner succeeds based on his/her efforts, as well as those of the group. This is actually a wonderful - and profitable - way network marketers are able to boost their profitability, while helping others at the same time.

According to Donald Trump, network marketing is a way to "take the leap of faith that's necessary in any worthwhile endeavor, and turn this opportunity into success." As a billionaire investor who is very selective, not only where he puts his capital, but also where he uses his name, Donald Trump has put his proverbial money where his mouth is. He has invested in an organization that has the, "unique customized products (which) are poised to ride the explosive health and wellness wave from $200 billion to $1 trillion, because of the 76 million aging baby boomers."

While network marketing may not be for everyone; and let's face it, most people aren't Donald Trump, it is something that should be given significant consideration. Short of buying a business and running it yourself, there is basically no other way to start a business, from the ground up, without investing significant capital along the way. Network marketing doesn't require significant capital in most cases. It requires time and attention; and, like any exercise that is played out, it requires the determination to succeed.

Getting started is always the hardest part of all undertakings. A perfect example of this is when people are too lazy to go out but then after making the effort to get ready and leave the house, they are always happy they did so. Just as with all things in life, running your own business, regardless of whether part-time or full-time, there are bountiful rewards to be received. Understanding this concept is simple. Now it's your turn for reward.
