My most serious encounter with a panic attack had me freightened that I was having a heart attack. I was panicking and fully frightened, I had set out in the car to the closest Emergency Room. I was sure that I was having a heart attack, and it seemed to be getting worse and worse. After being hooked up to the EEG machine, the doctor had informed me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my heart. It turns out I was experiencing a panic attack.

This way you can ask some questions about overcoming panic attacks, and at the same time get examined to make sure that your overall health is okay.

There are also relaxation techniques which you can use to aid you overcome panic attacks and reduce anxiety. Lie on your back and rest your hand on your tummy. Draw long, deep breaths while transitioning your thoughts into joyful thoughts about your friends and loved ones. Loosen the muscles all over your body mainly your shoulders, arms, and legs. As you do this, think of the great things you may have been setting up today or sometime in the next few weeks. Centering your brain on things like your daughter's upcoming birthday or that holiday that you've been putting off for so long is a fantastic panic attacks treatment that would bring you a sense of normalcy.
