The Mitsubishi WD65736 is one of your best "bang for your buck" hi-def 1080p HDTV you can get right now! For around $1500 you can get a 65" 1080p DLP projection television from Mitsubishi one of the top rated electronics companies of all time. Considering that for the same price you would be stuck with about a 47" Plasma with comparable features I think you would not go wrong opting for the massive WD-65736.

Let me start out by saying the picture quality of this TV is stunning, especially in hi-def (it supports 1080p). Having watched Blu-ray on this TV I can say without a doubt the picture will amaze all audiences from the novice to the film buff. I have also had the chance to watch quite a bit of both high definition and standard-definition on Dish Network. The picture amazes me. Of course the hi-def beats out standard-definition, but you won't mind watching either quality on this beauty.

Mitsubishi uses their 6-Color Processor to recreate vivid color with amazing accuracy. Being able to individually process 6 colors instead of the DLP standard 3, leads to a much greater accuracy then one might have come to expect from a DLP television. This is one of the many features that in my mind places this TV on top.

As far as audio goes, the built in speakers are decent. Honestly I have 7.1 surround sound so they are hardly used. Of Course if you don't have separate speakers you will not be disappointed. The factory speakers reproduce accurate sounding audio with little to no distortion.

One of the many unique features of this DLP television is the ability to output 3D for both games and movies. You will need special optional glasses and a 1080p source to take advantage of this. I have yet to try it so I will not provide any comments.

Setting up the Mitsubishi WD-65736 was incredibly easy. As you add your other audio & video sources whether they are a DVD player, playstation, satellite or cable TV receiver the Mitsubishi WD-65736 senses them. It will ask you questions via an on screen display to help you set up the menus. I was pleasantly surprised with the manual that comes with the TV as it pays special attention to fine details and is actually easily readable.
