Does a migraine cure really exist or are the experts correct when they tell us there is no cure? Coming up with the answer to this calls for us to evaluate things in a sensible and organized manner. The first step will be to define the terms "cure" and "migraine." As soon as we have come up with medical definitions for these two terms we will then be able to figure out if a migraine treatment really exists that will cure the disorder once and for all.

If we look in a dictionary, no matter whether it's online or offline, a standard dictionary or medical dictionary, the word "migraine" is normally defined as a disorder or condition with recurrent moderate to severe headache, usually on one side of the head, with frequent nausea and vomiting. What causes migraines has not been determined, but enlargement of the brain's blood vessels ordinarily happens previous to the actual headache.

The second definition we need to know is for the term "cure" and is a means of restoring health or healing. To cure an illness is to restore someone's health or have healing take place by some kind of therapeutic or other course of treatment. In addition to restoring health, a cure is also accomplished with a remission of symptoms and signs of a disease, especially if the symptoms of the ailment are not experienced for a long amount of time.

Now that we are familiar with these two words we are able to resolve what "migraine cure" really means. If an individual is to achieve a migraine headache cure they must first experience headache pain that is recurring, moderate to severe in intensity, usually on one side of the head, and often including nausea and vomiting. Once it has been determined that the headaches are in fact migraine headaches they need to be cured, or at least have the symptoms of the illness go away for a long period of time.

If someone's health is the reason for migraine attacks, restoring their health to a point where they will have complete migraine relief for a prolonged amount of time by means of a migraine headache treatment will mean they were cured of the disorder. In other words, some type of treatment for migraine will have led to the disappearance of any symptoms of the condition, or will have supplied complete migraine headache relief, for a protracted amount of time. If this happens, a migraine cure has been accomplished based on the definitions as described previously. Any migraine remedies or migraine treatments that cause someone's migraine symptoms to go away for a long amount of time proves to us that migraine cures do exist.

Let's now check out a real life case to determine if a cure is really possible. There are a great number of factors that can cause a migraine attack. A few common triggers are stress, caffeine, alcohol, and many others.

For our illustration we'll assume that someone suffers with a migraine headache each time they consume drinks that contain caffeine including coffee and soda pop. If caffeine is causing the migraine pain, then it only makes sense that no longer ingesting caffeine will relieve the symptoms. And in reality, this is just what takes place when caffeine is the trigger.

If someone suffers with a migraine each and every time they consume caffeine, and then stop consuming caffeine, if their signs and symptoms go away for a prolonged amount of time they've cured their disorder in accordance with our established medical definitions as listed previously.

In our instance caffeine was the cause of the pain symptoms or the disorder, but truly there might be lots of causes. However, regardless of what causes a person to develop migraine symptoms, if they use some kind of migraine treatment that causes all pain and symptoms to be relieved for a long amount of time, they have cured their disorder.
