The Miami Dolphins should be an appealing team to follow this season in terms of NFL odds at the sports book.

They grabbed a star wide receiver in Brandon Marshall in the off-season and their owner is predicting major things in 2010. The Dolphins have some nice value in terms of Super Bowl odds on the online sports book as they're posted at 47-1.

Because they're in a hard division with New England, the New York Jets and Buffalo, sports book odds don't favor Miami to win it all. Even though they're in the hard AFC East, their owner Stephen Ross is forecasting an excellent season for the Dolphins in 2010. He said he feels his team will be playing in Super Bowl XLV in February. He doesn't feel the substantial anticipations will bother head coach Tony Sparano or the players. Ross is already predicting major things for Chad Henne, boosting the quarterback.

Miami went 11-5 and won the AFC East 2 years ago but they slipped to 7-9 past season. Big things are supposed in Miami. The team added wide receiver Brandon Marshall and linebacker Karlos Dansby in the off-season. The Dolphins is going to have to get past New England and the New York Jets in NFL sports book odds to win the division. The Patriots have won the AFC East in six of the past seven seasons, but the Jets won the division past year.

Miami finished past season through an offense which was 15th in the league in points won. Those stats should undoubtedly progress with the addition of Marshall. The rushing attack was great, ranking fourth in the league but the passing attack was just twentieth. The defense was only 25th in the league in points granted so they can undoubtedly use Dansby's assistance when they look to be better vs the sports book point spread. They were 22nd in the NFL in yards granted.

Miami must win their starting match at Buffalo in NFL odds on the online sports book because their early season schedule is tough. After the opener at Buffalo they go to Minnesota, host the New York Jets, host the New England Patriots, go to Green Bay and then host Pittsburgh. Miami is a 1.5 point favorite in NFL odds at the sports book for their season opener on September 12th at Buffalo with a total of 37.5.

Last week while participating in a ceremony to rename an athletic lineup in his recognition, Dolphins owner Steven Ross stunned the media throng when asked about his anticipations for the coming season. He stated that he, coach Tony Sparano, and also each and every player on the team expects that they'll be contending in the Super Bowl next February. Ross contributed $164,000 for renovations at Miami Beach Senior High athletic fields. He added that there wasn't any stress, only that the team would decide to do it.

The Dolphins finished 7-9 past season, losing their past three matches to fall out of the playoff hunt, and haven't won a Super Bowl since 1973.
